Well-known entrepreneur and telecommunications advocate Annette Presley is leaving Slingshot, the internet company she founded, the firm said today.

Slingshot owners CallPlus today announced that Ms Presley will be standing down from her executive role within Slingshot "to pursue new opportunities".

They describe themselves as "New Zealand's largest 100 per cent kiwi owned full service telecommunications company".

I guess they have no people available to work on their website now. Their last press release is from December 2004.

AP is probably too busy for Slingshot now with her new investments from Dragons Den. Look on the brightside no more annoying ads.

It probably started after Paul from the Dragon's Den shouted "Shut up"...

Wow looks like a Coup d'etat

AP may have to join the ex Thai PM in London. They could go into exile together.

Well on the positive side, with both of them in exile there wouldn't be a shortage of 'bread'.

Perhaps they could open a chain of bakeries.

yeah, I see no negatives here at all... She says she's not stepping down and has 45% of the company, CallPlus say she is, and they couldn't get her on her mobile in Fiji but she should have known anyway cos they have been talking about it for a while...

Perhaps she could head over to Econet and form the most irritating company this country has ever seen!?

That's got to be the funniest thing I've heard all day.

Imagine Tex & Annette in business together!

Prehaps she could join Telecom and help them to make the bread

It is New Zealand's role to send out its bright young men and women to help run the rest of the world. And they go, not hating the country of their birth, but loving it. From this loving base they make their mark on the world.

Hate to be in her firing line when she gets back.
Last night on the news via phone conference she was asked what she will do when she gets back - reply "Fire someone!"

It certainly looks like a Malcolm Dick & Martin Wylie takeover of the company.

Annette was saying on the radio this morning she was still the biggest shareholder so they couldn't do anything. She's obviously failed to comprehend the fact that the remaining shareholders have more shares than she does.

Martin Wylie is a *very* smart man, him having more power at the company could be very interesting.

oh dear - half a loaf = crumbs
I can not see how this will be a good thing for the company - her face has in my opinion lifted the profile of Slingshot.

I am guessing this is personal.

Mark Sainsbury might invite her again and with few wines under her belt I am sure all will be revealed.
