cyril7: Hi, looks like part of the wall disapeared or for whatever reason someone has taken the ETP out of the bend in the ground and stuck it under the house.
If we ignore that fact and make an assumption that the cat5/6 4pair thats connected to the line in is dry then that part of the wiring whilst nasty is probably ok.
What is important (if you want your DSL to work correctly) is where does it go from there.
Cyril
cyril7: Hi, so the cable from the grey cat5/6 ETP goes to your room, how does the phone service get to the other two outlets, I can see stuff in the flush box behind but its not clear what it is, is that the other two circuits or something else.
Cyril
Jaxson: Slight aside, how do you get on in houses now with the structured wiring approach, where the outlets are just sockets with none of that telephone circuit board component stuff like the capacitor/inductors in the pictures above?
cyril7: Hi Cody, but these is no indication of where the joints are, or is there a joint somewhere we have not been shown.
Jaxon, not too sure what you mean.
Cyril

Is the Your room box the one that is closest to the ETP? As Cyril says, that'll account for the grey cable.
But knowing where/how that turns into the cat5 blue cable (used in the kitchens) is really what you need to find out (unless you can see all that in the back of the same box.)
And as the kitchen ones only have one cable coming into each box there is another junction somewhere. (perhaps involving 1 of the white cables we can see in the back of Your Room box)
