I'm not sure if this is the same as this post so have made this its own.
My Dad has come back from living overseas for many years and brought with him his fairly nice machine but has an odd problem whereby the PSU fan will continue to spin even after the machine has been turned off. I don't mean it continues for a few minutes, it continues forever. All other case fans/hdd's spin down and stop.
I've looked through the BIOS for any power options that might help, and have toggled them all on/off individually to no effect.
The Mobo is an Asus P6X58D-E and the PSU is a Corsair TX750W.
I'm suspecting that the PSU has a faulty temperature gauge so has the fan always going to cool it down but would love to know if there is something i'm overlooking.
Anyone had a similar problem before?
