I see that the GTX 1060 has now been released. Reviews are up and it is looking pretty good for the price point.

Playtech and PB Tech have them for around the $650

Gigabyte GTX 1060 @ Playtech

A 480 is $200 cheaper, not sure why anyone would get a 1060 over a 480 at current prices

G-sync and nVidia drivers

No difference between drivers for the last few years, g-sync or freesync not much difference. Again not worth and extra $200 for similarly performing cards.

With the different markups applied here that might make the AMD card worth tollerating if you are really short on cash, but there is supposed to be US$50 between them, which IMO is well worth it to not deal with AMD drivers.

Amd drivers are not what they used to be, I changed from a gtx760 to a r9 390 and have had less driver crashes on the amd card.

I picked up a Gigabyte G1 gaming for 799 the other day from playtech the other day. Installed into my C2Q9650 machine and my 4K TV. Was hoping that HDR would be working in rise of the tomb raider but not yet...

Thanks for the code, I will be trying it on a GTX1080 tomorrow. If the discount applies, price will be comparable to importing one. But buying locally would certainly trump that. Keeping my fingers crossed...

Shame, Computer Lounge only have the GTX1070 available with the coupon. But it comes down to just under $748 which is pretty good.
