raytaylor: Could possibly be a corrupt PST file. Happens all the time.

Simplified instructions to create a new PST file and import the inbox and its subfolders back into a new one.

1) Close Outlook
2) Go into Control Panel > Mail
3) On the data files tab, create a new data file / PST file
4) Set it as the default file, and change the delivery locations for your accounts to the new pst
5) Open outlook
6) Right click on the old PST file with all your folders etc in it, and select close
7) File > Open > Import and then import the inbox and subfolders into the same folder in your new pst file.

Repeat step 7 for the calendar, contacts and notes folders. Dont import the outbox.

Thanks for the tip this one worked for me. I did try the PSTscan.exe and it found some errors but had the same problem after the repair completed.

Thanks for all the help.
