It's letting me buy a 4TB for US$ 155 but not letting me send it directly to NZ

NZ$ 207 to send it to my youshop address though

It's now ~$156US + postage, sold by Datavision who might not ship internationally?

Yeah seems that way. Still significantly cheaper than buying here though, although I can't get into pricespy to check exact savings and no 4TB on geekzone price comparison page. Prob saving $150 though?

pricespy had them at $294, so it's about $100 cheaper. Not sure about warranty status.

I know US sourced internal drives are just like the ones bought here, have to be sent to singapore at your expense outside of retailers warranty period. And you get a crappy "reconditioned" drive back with massive dips in the transfer rate across the surface, but a mysteriously low reallocated sector count in the smart data. Ick.

Drive warrantys are worthless IMO unless you can get a new drive. Which I have only had a couple of times, and once the drive is out of the retailers warranty period they are normally worth less than the price + hassle of post to singapore. (Recent flood caused price spike excluded)

Im annoyed I missed on this, and also those seagate stands are great to stick any old drive on and get data off, unlike most of the USB docking stations you see over ebay/trademe which are laggy disconnect prone junk.
