Do you mean the normal ANZ online banking? Although it is a pretty rough system, I haven't had any problems with it loading. I don't think it uses java either. Maybe some javascript, but I don't think it is any different from other banks websites. It is just the old national bank interface, with some new features.

No this is their business banking system.....where you want to do batch payments to 100's of suppliers, for example.

I'm not a Java developer, only played around with a tiny weenie bit of it years ago, but the login screen for ANZ Direct looks Java-esque indeed. Isn't that ".do" thing something Strut used?

Wow classic asp, java, iis6 for the web server, table based layout... looks like a a early 00's throwback.

Should be taken out back and shot.

Well it isn't inherited from the national bank one. Surely you can just use the the normal ANZ online banking login rather than using that system. My business account doesn't have access to that java system, only the normal online banking access. Not unless that java system has more features that the normal system doesn't offer.

lxsw20: It's something they inherited from National Bank, it wasn't that many years ago it was based on dial up still. (Direct Link) And their sale and purchase stuff for housing is still done via fax...I hate banks.

Perhaps you should consider switching bank, ASB and KiwiBank have great online platforms.

I'm not sure the other banks have the same functionality as the ANZ/National business banking website.  I'm not the primary user, but i believe there are a range of functions around batch processing which just dont exist elsewhere.

Looking at what's listed here https://www.anzdirect.co.nz/about.asp
eg: Bulk/Batch payments, same day payments, international/FX payments

It sounds like ASB FastNet and KiwiBank business have those features too:
