resurrect: Ok here's what I can see could be an issue, your PSU isn't powerful enough to handle the 2 R9 280x cards, you should have at least a 800w in there, (I know for 1 R9 290 they say the minimum PSU you should have is 700w). just hit up pricespy I know there are 1kw PSUs for under $200.

Update: PSU tested, ram, all tested ok,Unable to fault machine (They don't seem to understand the term intermittent) Replaced Motherboard (Possible Incompatibility issue)
btw, I thought that to BUT, they only say that to cover themselves from customers using cheap PSUs that arn't delivering good power,
Plus I don't have heaps of hdds in my computer my computer could actually run on a good quality 600watt PSU..

Spent $170 on a new Motherboard, Same issue

It sounds like the power supply is struggling or faulty video card.
If PB Tech built this machine, they should be shot for making you pay to replace faulty items and fit suitable hardware to counter for their under-powered hardware.

It can't see this being a software issue at this stage. Your only other option I can see is to try a video card that draws on less power and see if your machine is any more stable.

They never advised me to get a new Motherboard they were going to replace with the exact same one, so I opted for a different model, today after telling them I am having the same issue with the different motherboard and after I told them that if I disable monitor sleep that sometimes when the computers idle the monitor just dies (Tried different monitor also) so they now think my PSU is having issues with low power states.

Soooo has anyone analyzed the crash dump yet as suggested by gzt 10+ days ago?

This will likely point to the driver involved in the BSOD and let you target a specific piece of hardware rather than replacing bits on a hunch.

A PSU isn't a driver... how will it tell me the PSU is going bad?

I'm currently trying AMD generic drivers (Beta driver) to see if that helps...
and tomorrow I will talk to pb tech and they will tell me what they plan to do, but a bad GPU driver can't make the screen go blank and not wake up randomly can it (with monitor sleep disabled)

You're completely ignoring the evidence, maybe basic diagnostics will be taught in "Diploma of PC Support" Level 6...

The BSOD error mentions DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE... pretty likely it has something to do with a driver yes?
If you followed the walkthrough gzt gave you, you'll probably find out which driver is giving the issues.

I've come across the same BSOD on a PC recently and it turned out to be drivers for a particular USB device not handling the change in power states as it should've.

I've had this issue for a long time, it's slowly gotten worse over time to the point it happens everyday, that points to hardware

I don't think anyone has bothered, because his description of the issue suggests hardware failure. Maybe PB tech should have done it as part of their "advanced" diagnosis, but it didn't seem to help them assuming they ever checked it.

Update:

I believe this issue is related to AMD ZeroCore technology, monitor not waking from sleep, common issue apparently people had to restart computer, no reports of bsod but I think it's cause everyone restarted but I just waited to see what happened, this must a generic error for windows unable to wake GPU, the fix: disable monitor sleep/use blank screen saver (stops ZeroCore kicking in) there's no fixes as of yet, I've installed a beta driver from AMD in the mean time, I'm testing my computer with A blank screen saver and if I have any further issues I'll post back, I welcome any comments to this update :)
