Unboxed a Microsoft Surface Laptop Go yesterday. Applied all updates and after reboot when checked for any more updates was offered 20H2. Installed in seconds (Microsoft has been delivering the bits in previous updates, just using a switch to enable the new features).

I attempted to upgrade 2x Win7 32b to Win10 32b 20H2 , as 20H2 is the only Official Win10 installer download now
Both PC's failed the upgrade & reverted to Win7 : both i3's ,similar mb ( chipset)
I tried up with v1909 . Worked 1st attempt , both PC's

so some weird issues with 20H2 .
Dont throw out your 1909 disks/iso's yet

:-)

PC's with v2404 : Ive seen a few that had 20H2 offered  in Winupdates , Ive been installing it on those .

Lots of articles warned of forcing the update through the ISO manually. Recommendation is to wait until it's offered via Windows Update. 😃

Haven't been offered 20H1 yet...

It's called 2004. Numbering changes after that one.

Laptop got it 2 days ago. Nowhere to be found on my desktop.

Same. Laptop done yesterday, desktop - nothing.

My desktops have it officially offered now. Thinking about it. Don't want to ruin my weekend ; ).

Probably shouldn't worry too much. Can see why they stopped the big new Windows announcements otherwise what would it be this time - semi transparent icons for the windows menu and something to do with Edge tabs ? Maybe we'll get something useful, like a tabbed or dual pane Explorer by the end of the decade...

Point being I've not got it yet; still on 1909 [or whatever it's called].

A Bourbon & Coke gave me the courage to reboot.

2 minutes to restart.

28 more minutes to get things going again. Due to the O-Navi Earthquake sensor no longer being found.

Found a link to Exar driver and installed.

You guessed it.....another reboot required!

28 minutes from start of original reboot to everything running again.

....and it didn't even renumber my audio devices again - long may it continue :-)

It was 2 minutes to log back in.

The extra time was to locate drivers for the broken bit and do another reboot and start everything again :-)

Three comps here updated fine (forced!). But I always have image backups.

Control Panel still there if this worries some.

Main machine just updated now. It's an 8 year old A5800-A10 based rig.

2 mins to download

5 mins to install and restart

Even the HP Printer still works and that saying something
