Personally, I find backup from multiple devices to the cloud pretty messy. Besides I only have ADSL and really bad mobile signal, so working with large files in the cloud is problematical.

Phone snaps backed up to OneDrive.

"Proper photos" (upto 50 MB each) stored locally and backed up to multiple rotated 4TB hard drives using Macrium Reflect. In theory, one of those drives is always off site. Hmmm.

Nokia 6110, 6210, 6234, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1, Huawei Ideos X5 (Windows Mobile), Samsung Galaxy SIII, LG G4, OnePlus 5, iPhone Xs Max (briefly), S21 Ultra. And I thought I hadn't had many phones - but the first one around 1997.

if you'd like an alternate solution just for always accessible cloud storage for your photos and other docs, you can perhaps try NextCloud, locally with port forwarded static IP or on a Linode instance, for example. Pretty decent option where you get to manage the control of your files and Google Photos like features.

If GZ allows, I can share my affiliate link with you to try Linode with a $100 60 days credit.
