get a AMD 5600g cpu for now.   you can wait for the newer 5800X3D but would be a lot more expensive.

The 5600G has good reviews, is capable of gaming, so will get you by until GPUs come down in price.  A 5600G is plenty for gaming.  you could always upgrade to a 5950x later and a GPU and probably come out even if you bought a 3080ti in today's market

So build a system around that, at least 32GB of 3200MHz ram.   shove in a gen 3 1tb m.2 (gen 4 are too expensive, and 3500/3500 read/write speeds are good).

I believe the 5600G comes with a CPU cooler aswell, which saves you $100 from a 5800x and above CPU.    Intel 12th gen doesn't have decent onboard GPUs.

you could probably put a machine together for around $1200-1500 depending on case/psu etc (don't cheap out on a PSU, get a corsair RM850 or something decent).

Graphics cards have come down in price significantly - last weekend there were a few 3070ti available for $1099 which is a pretty good price.

Intel 12th gen CPUs are generally the best at the moment and something like a 12700f would be pretty decent - though you would probably want a motherboard with DDR4 RAM rather than DDR5 RAM due to current prices
