you guys are all awesome, thanks heaps. ive been looking for a decent web site..... thanks, i prefer playtech , ill keep looking on their sites and see what i can get. ill update in this thread any news. thanks again
im looking at getting the assassin off playtech, the graphics card is only dx 10 compatible. so im asking how much it would be to upgrade the graphics card. apart from that everything is good :) dx11 looks really good, i dont want to miss out on it :o
ok i have a quote for approx $2240.00 it includes the assassin : http://www.playtech.co.nz/product.php?action=showdetail&id=8235 this system only supports direct x 10, so i asked to upgrade the graphics card for an extra $100 for the 5750 (i think) that is full support for direct x 11 when it comes out. this system has full windows 7 (not oem thank god) i asked for a wireless networking card with external antenna (think they all have antennas lol) thats an extra $50 and the monitor i selected was a lg HD $299 one with standard 3yr warranty: http://www.playtech.co.nz/product.php?action=showdetail&id=7435 all ill need now is a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse.
does this sound good? price quoted includes delivery also. thanks
While thats not a bad machine I don't like the fact you can't change parts as you wish on the website and you have to go with "playtech approved" stuff which is annoying if you like a particular brand. 8gb of ram is overkill i reckon. I know it's from computer lounge but this comes with a dx11 card as standard and the rest of the specs are very similar. http://www.computerlounge.co.nz/systems/systemdetail.asp?sysid=121&systypeid=4
Desktop: i7 920, GTX 275, asus P6T, antec 1200, 6gb ram, 1tb spinpoint f1, 1tb spinpoint f3, Logitech Z2300, Zero DAC, Shure SRH440 Laptop: Toshiba satellite, T5300, Go 7300 Home Theatre: 32" loewe CRT, Harmon kardon amp, dvd player, image 418 speakers, rega planar 25 turntable :)
I haven't used Computerlounge but Playtech have a very good service e-mail them and they can do a quote on a custom built system within that price range or if your confident enough you could build one yourself. Don't get any of the computers of trademe I know someone who got one and hes had nothing but problems with it. [Edit] opps only read first page looks like a good system 8GB of RAM is overkill I would go for 6GB max and make sure that the version of windows is 64 bit
That assasin pc is basically my pc lol. Except i made it myself, same specs except i have 3tb of hdds in it, that and i have a full hd viewsonic 24". Cant fault it for gaming, plays modern warfare 2 at 1920x1080 on highest settings without a problem.. Only game that has ever given me greif is Mirrors Edge funnily enough (had to drop it down to 720p)
