Any owners of 3070 here? What PSU do you have?

I have 620w bronze PSU and run i9-9900 + 1080gtx in my PC. I figured 3080 is not an option for my current PSU and CPU, but wondering would 3070 work or not?

Looks like Nvidia replaced the Watch Dogs bundle with a new one, Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War.

My Gigabyte 3070 just arrived and installed, pretty impressed with how fast PBTech managed to get them shipped out.

I'm currently running it on a Corsair RM750x, from what I've read you'll need at least a 650 (nvidia even recommends it) but I'm not an expert.

Talkiet:

This latest round of videocard pricing reminds me about how the mobile handset industry somehow convinced everyone that $2000+ for a phone is somehow reasonable.

I don't really agree.

Most users don't need a graphics card anymore. These cards are almost irrelevant for them. They buy a $700 laptop with good integrated graphics and are very happy with it. They see no reason to have a desktop let alone a graphics card.

The higher end cards are mostly for enthusiasts or those who make a living from these cards. These are more like car people who will change the springs on their car and buy bigger wheels. There is absolutely a law of diminishing returns but if it's something you love then it's not a straight money story.

If you want a graphics card for 1080p 60fps gaming something for $300-$400 is great value. These cards aren't for those folk.

Anyone want to trade a CoD Black Ops key for my Watch dogs Legion key?

Here's a bit of fun from the rumour-mill yesterday lol.

Taken with a grain of salt at this point, but if true would be interesting to see a return of 3070 & 3080 Ti models, although with less VRAM and increased core count. I guess this would be more logical than the original 16GB / 20GB options, given the component shortages and the success of Big Navi. nVidia may feel that more VRAM alone is not incentive enough and can offer some more performance in between product tiers?

I would if I ever got my card, according to an email I am 12th in the queue for the 3080 TUF and they have no idea when and how many they are getting in...

How is introducing more models going to help with anything though? They can't even supply the announced cards, let alone more different SKU's. Although I did read the lower cards were to be cut down 3070's or something?

Well if Nvidia announces a 3080 Ti today for release in 2021, that will relieve some of the demand pressure on the current cards. I got a 2080 Ti (brought 2nd hand so didn't lose too much money) and there's no real upgrade path for me except the 3090, now that the 3080 20GB has been cancelled.

Well DM me when you finally get it, assuming it happens before the month ends and the code expires

I was surprised to get a 3070 delivered on Monday from computer lounge . It's running great on a 550watt power supply , pulling 330watt total system draw when fully stressed. Paid the same money back in 2010 for a gtx480, so not surprised by the current pricing for the rtx 3070 cards.
