I didnt see the options when i was looking at pb tech last night

Found them this morning, i tried to link everything to one store as I dont think OP will be doing a diy build but will be paying someone to install everything. I could be wrong thou.

Don’t get the noctua’s, just go straight for the Peerless assassin/phantom spirit cpu cooler.

Why? I have had Noctuas for 10 years, genuinely curious why you think they are better?

The Peerless assassins are 95% of the performance for a half to a third of the price. If budget isn't a concern then Noctua is great, if it is a concern then you can save $100-$200 to spend else where with the Thermalright peerless assassins.

Y'all are right I wlll be having our usual tech from geeks on wheels do the build. I do appreciate the links although I don't mind buying from multiple suppliers if there's reasonable savings to be had.

I wouldn't be having PB tech do another build, buying parts yes, build no. First and last time wasn't good and had to have it redone so.

I was going to ask about quiet pc but then read the "ships from the UK" so not ideal. My other question is the cooler. https://1stwave.co.nz/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=18&products_id=3736

I saw that suggested somewhere, maybe the list? Would you still recommend the peerless assassin over this one?

Interesting. When I did my first search they showed up around $15 price apart. The second time it showed a significant price difference.

For what it’s worth, PB has a ‘VIP shopping night’ tomorrow at 6pm so you may be able to save a couple of dollars waiting an extra day

True, in that case less important getting everything at one store.

I will flag that shipping can start adding up fast, so sometimes its good to buy multiple items from the same store, when there isnt a massive saving.

Admittedly if you have mutiple stores near you, shipping may not be an issue.

Thermalright coolers are cheapest from Amazon AU if you want to save $30. When I ordered mine there was no additional GST added.

https://www.amazon.com.au/s?k=phantom+spirit¤cy=NZD

Any of the Phantom Spirit variants will do the job nicely.

Pretty much this, Noctuas are still great but the thermalrights have cornered the market so far.

1st wave is pretty good and has been around a while. Out in pakuranga from memory.

It's ordered 😁 all but the cpu cooler from Pbtech. One last question, being that ill be using my youngest old pc I will be needing a graphics card but my games are rimworld, project zomboid and oxygen not included. So nothing to graphics intensive. Should I just find another 2060 super like the one that died before the 4070 supper?

Thank you again

This looks good and it's less than what I'm seeing for 2060 supers on trademe. What are y'alls thoughts please.

Thank you

I would go with a 9060 XT over a brand new 2060 super any day of the week.
TradeMe prices for GPU's are insanely high IMO, however saying that, Nvidia GPU's tend to keep their value more than AMD on the used market.

My 2cents, if you are happy with a 9060XT (I would say best card in that sub $950 price range) I would save the extra $50, and go with a base model, the performance will be the same.

$729

https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/VGAPOW290620/Powercolor-Reaper-AMD-Radeon-RX-9060-XT-16GB-GDDR6

All things being equal, I would go with the ASRock one as it has 36-month warranty, over the 24 months for the others, including the Sapphire Pure.
Bonus being a 2-slot design, so it should be compact if there are space issues below the GPU.
