Apsattv:

jase2985  i'm coming after u

Borgus has a high WU count for such a low point count

Not bad for only 50 or so users~!

Im guessing your running 24/7 now?

Im having huge trouble getting work units and sending them back. its requiring a lot of pausing and starting, along with restarting the application. not great for increasing your score

Ge0rge:
It would appear that I was wrong about this. I've gone from averaging around 8 hours per WU to around 21 hours. My average credit has moved very little, and I haven't changed the settings for the container at all - it looks like I'm still doing the same amount of work as the 4.08 version, but the 4.12 units are bigger perhaps?

Anyone else seen a change in processing time?

Ive noticed zero difference, WU are still taking about 8h to complete on 2 of my machines.

if you look nearer to the bottom of there it shows the averages for different tasks

No not running 24x7 , i'm also having the same issue,ok from about 5pm NZ to 6 a.m but outside of those hours very hard to get a wu at the moment. Even with the option set to fetch a new one once the current one reaches 90% complete

I have enabled a remote machine in Australia, it only has a GTX 670 but can do a GPU wu around every 8 hours. Which helps a little with my WU count

I have it running now on my iMac Pro.

It sure heats up the system. The fans on a Pro run very infrequently because the inner layout of the machine was redesigned and is different from a standard iMac. Normally I never hear the fans at all.

In 30 minutes of running BOINC on Rosetta, it is running all 10 cores at 90-95 Centigrade and the fans are doing 1700rpm!

define much power

what processor do you have, what computer do you have?

My Desktop running rosetta (CPU) and folding at home (GPU) uses about 250w of power and its running 24/7

.25kw x 24h = 6kwh and x say $.22 per kwh is about $1.32 per day.

i would say anywhere from $1-2 per day. not much really, and the bonus is its heating your house going into winter

In the GUI you can choose how much resource to allocate and when it’s to run.

Just saw this article about the Folding@Home project. The project now provides 1.5 Exaflops of computing power.

For comparison: The largest super computer in the world has about 150 Petaflops, or 0.15 Exaflops.
