Does anyone know where I might be able to find this product in NZ? http://www.dabs.com/products/startech-com-6--sata-power-y-splitter-cable-6LC9.html

I already have one of these: http://pbtech.co.nz/index.php?z=p&p=ITPAK-SATA4&name=Dynamix-Dual-Port-Serial-ATA-Power-Cable-Splits-1x

But I fear the male end might be too large for the space (the inside of an iMac), with the superfluous (in this case) 'white bit' (IDE?) being attached.

Any help would be hugely appreciated - am wanting to source it locally as it's for an urgent-ish project.

Can't you just remove the Molex part of that 2nd adapter? Cut it off with snips etc.?

I was hoping I'd be able to do that as a last resort. I'm not very clued up when it comes to this kind of stuff though - would that short the circuit or cause problems etc.?

Anyone know about this? Can I just 'shave' off the part that I don't need?
