I had a AMD Athlon 2100XP+ system on Trademe for a while and didn't even reach the $400 reserve. Instead of selling it I ended up installing my Exchange Server on the box and it's happily going along. I will use it until dies.

Of course it might not be an alternative for you, but just to give an idea of market. And you might be lucky and find someone on Trademe wanting a good system for home use - which this one seems to be perfect fit for.

yeah i feared as much   Frown  hoping with the couple of novelty things such as the blue fans, etc it might get more.  It was worth an RRP of about $3500 when I got it 2 years ago.

cosmetic extras are pretty much worth $0 secondhand.
All you can go on really is CPU graphics-memory RAM HDD DVDWriter people dont care about other things.

Price up a brand new 2.8GHZ 512mb 120GB box on TM and you will seee what i mean.
