Hmm - I just tried ordering one and got this:

"We're sorry. This item can't be shipped to your selected destination. You may either change the shipping address or delete the item from your order."

Residential address in Chch...

What seller provisioned your order (Circuitcity?)

Cheers - N

I ordered a Crucial 64 GB m4 a week or two back (seller was Amazon.com) and had it sent to my BuyUSA address. Wish I'd ordered a larger one.

In any case, free shipping, but they'd only ship to a US address.

It appears that Circuit City allow international shipping - perhaps you were missing something like postal code?

I hope you used the Geekzone link to the Amazon Kindle page to buy this?

Other than this, great price. I bought a Crucial SSD 256 GB a year ago and paid almost US$ 500 total.

Damn that was a good deal. I guess circuit city is out... so now 229USD=320NZD; ships in 8-9 working days so 2-3+ weeks before you get it? Playtech has it for 399 pickup today from their showroom. Tough choice ;-)

Maybe it's worth mentioning that older versions of the Crucial M4 SSD firmware had a 5200 (?) hour bug that is fixed in firmware version 0309 released in January this year (and also in the newer 000F), which might affect some people on here. So it might pay to check your firmware version and upgrade if necessary.

...and no I'm not sure how version 000F is considered higher than 0309. Perhaps Crucial have a Little Endian version numbering system.

From what I hear, the bootable CDROM / USB updater is considered to be more reliable than the windows updater.

Heads UP. TigerDirect has the Crucial M4 for US$199. Amazon has dropped their price to US$209. B&H Photo/Video also have dropped their price to $199.

Don't forget you get $10 off $100 or more at Tiger Direct when you pay with Visa.

Go to Visa's offer page. Link

Click the Redeem Now button to enter the Tiger Direct site & activate the $10 off.

Search for C19-8026 to see the $199.99 Crucial M4.

Buy. You won't see the discount in the cart.

The $10 discount will not be reflected in your shopping cart. It will only be reflected on your "order shipment" email, after the order has been processed by our back-end system.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Price of product is good but Tigerdirect want $68US to ship to NZ, amazone won't ship to NZ at the moment for this product which leaves B & H who want $50US for shipping.

Yeah i'd agree shipping costs make these deals poor in terms of value for money?

Still cheaper than what you would pay in NZ but only by 15-20%.
