Hi guys friends of ours fell for the scam, what are the steps to take to ensure that their computer is clean, I'm running virus scans and that but are their any additional skills required other then common sense, to ensure that their computer hasn't been infected by any of their crap.

The safest bet if they let them remote into their PC is a complete format and re-install of the operating system.

No one can be sure what exactly they do when remoted in.

Change all passwords as soon as possible via another computer that hasn't been compromised.

If they gave their credit card details in any form, request a new card from their credit card company.

Cheers
Grant
