hi...

I accidentally formated my 200gig HDD Embarassed (I meant to format the other one).. anyway I know there's software out there that can recover the data or most/some of it, but I don't know which one is good...

any one out there that can help or has some good advice for me on which software to use or can hook me up with one, will be much appreciated..
or if you know a place or some one who can recover the data, that will also be good...

thanks a lot...

(I used quick format, the drive was NTFS format and am running Windows XP Pro and the hard drive is just standard ATA or IDE)

Get Data Back is probably one of the ,more successful ones at recovering your data.

I have PM'd you re the program.

First things first though, unplug the drive from your system until you are ready to recover from it. Make sure you have another drive available to recover to that has sufficient space to hold all the files.

Even if you have used the disk since reformatting, DO NOT write to it, you can copy from it any files you need, but do it immediately prior to the scan.

Good luck.

Could you please tell me how to get the software you used to retrieve data from your hard drive; I have run into some trouble after accidentally formatting the wrong drive. Your help will be much appreciated, thanks...
