Hi guys

Wasn't sure where to put this thread so played it safe and picked off topic : /

Anyways i was hoping someone could help me with my loading issue, basically i got a virus and it was pretty bad i couldn't even use symantec to kill it, in the end i had to do a system restore to two days prior to fix it. I logged to the desktop and all was fine the virus was gone i had no issues until 2 minutes later when i got a blue screen. I saw the error for the blue screen and researched that it was related to symantec and that apparently it doesn't like system restores or something so i ended up going to safe mode, turning on diagnostic mode then going into desktop to uninstall symantec (of which i found was actually now corrupt anyway probably due to the virus) from that point on no more blue screens was sweet, i reinstalled symantec and did a full scan to check my pc and its completely clean. Now here's where my issue is, although my computer is clean of any virus's and malware for some reason my computer is constantly loading something, i just sit on the desktop doing nothing and all, check cpu and its barly doing anything but for some my cursor keeps showing loading every now and then, its fine then about 8 seconds later loading cursor for about 5 seconds then its fine then another 8 seconds later iy loads again for 5 seconds and this goes on and on and on, also most of the time my computer loading lights don't come on when this happens so whatever its loading must be small. (my guess)

Does anyone know what might be causing this loading?

Thanks

System restore is just a way to roll back drivers and some configuration. The malware is still around. Go to free.antivirus.com and use Housecall for a full system scan.

Why trust Symantec (only) when a virus has got into you system?
The Symantec virus protection could be crippled in some way.

You need to clean up your computer with lots of other tools.
Cleaner, Spybot, Adware, AVG, etc.
If you know the ID of the virus check for other tools.
Check out PC-Hell too.

Even after a thorough clean up you can never be 100% sure.

Best option to save your data and factory restore or use a recent image.

All takes a lot of time.
