try finding a bios cracker that runs on cd, or a Floppy one, with a floppy drive added.

This is not really a Windows XP issue... Or Windows for that matter, so I'm moving to another forum.

Why are you unable to get into the BIOS? Is it due to a password, or does it simply not happen when you press the correct keys, or something else?

Usually F10 to get into the BIOS on HP business machines.

Does the original business know that their data is still on these machines?
They really should have been wiped correctly and had a fresh install of Windows done on them before being sold/given away.
That's what I'd be doing now anyway as who knows what state the Windows install is in.

Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

Hmmm. If you're looking at cracking the Windows passwords, I recommend you don't do it. Just format the drives and use them. Cracking the passwords is not cool.
