So I have this RAID card sitting in a static bag on my desk and im planning on putting it in my server when it gets moved cases, I have been looking around on Google in regards to what drives it can take and everything I have come across so far just says that it supports arrays bigger than 2tb however there is no mention if the card will accept 2tb drives.
Anyone able to help?

It was released 2006.  http://vb.net/products/LSILOGIC/LSMR8308ELPKds.pdf

I would expect it to use 2TB drives. It uses the LSI SAS 1068 IO controller. Everything I've seen in the past says that the physical drive size limit is 2TB, e.g. Intel says "RAID controllers based on the LSI 1068 = Only the first 2 TB will be seen and configured"

You could check the specs of RAID cards from Dell, HP, Intel, Supermicro, etc that use the same controller.
