I have been given the task (ok, I kind of volunteered) of migrating Quickbooks Premier Multi User 2006/07 from an old XP computer to a new Win7 computer for a small local non-profit organisation that I support.
Pretty easy I thought, just install it on the new box, and do a backup of the old and restore into the new, and voila!
Then I found out that they don't have the installation media (bugger) but do have a valid license and installation key (yay!) which was used on the XP box. Their license has been renewed until June next year.
I have approached Reckon who tell me they don't keep copies of old versions, which is either hogwash or a really stupid policy.

Anyhoo, I am left trying to track down a copy of the media, so I am trying my luck here, with the very generous and helpful people of the GeekZone community.
So really hoping there are some hoarders out there!

If you have the media and would be willing to share it (its not piracy as they have a license) that would be a great help.

Kind regards,

I used to have a link to the qb file server which had all versions available for download. I will see if I can track it down when I get home.

Cheers Matt.

Hey Sheryn

Sorry. David broke his arm last night so it was a night at the A and E for us.....

Try here:

http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/Support/ProductUpdates.aspx?lid=UpdateDownloads

These are the US versions. You can select any version right back to 2006. Hopefully that works. I am sure I had a link for the UK versions but just can't find it!

Cheers, Matt.

I hope David is feeling OK, the poor wee poppet. Rob's youngest has got an arm in plaster at the moment too.

Thanks for that link, but I managed to get the Quickbooks thing sorted last night. I'm pretty sure finance software is specifically tailored for each countries tax and accountancy laws so US or UK versions would probably not be suitable. I've got a working version of QB 2010/11 with the ALF data on Debbie's new pc so waiting to hear how she is getting on with it. I'm hoping she finds it easier than her new phone!
