I want one!! but it has to be a real one not a sticker set to change a qwerty.. the real ones are hard coded to send qwerty format back to the pc so the pc doesnt know any better.

I tried it for a few days by changing all my keys around, it was odd learning to type again...

Yeah it would be, i think the whole point is once you get used to it you can touch type even faster, plus no-one else can use your computer.

I did this until I realised that each row of keys on a QWERTY KB is a different height etc, so when rearranged for DVORAK it was chaos

Yes, that is unless you use the venerable IBM Model-M! "clicky" keyboards, I have two and I can just change over all the little keycaps! These keyboards really are the ultimate in industrial quality and pure nostalgia..

yeah but the problem with that is if you remote access another machine the keys are going to be all haywire since you havent got the mappings set up on it.

You just install it as a "Dvorak" keyboard as it essentially is.

I have two setup anyway as i'm pretty slow on Dvorak.
