Trying to connect my widescreen monitor to my laptop and there are only two resolution options, both of dont fir the full screen.

Is there anything that can be done to stretch the image out to fill the screen?

Laptop is a Dell and only has VGA output.

You are most likely trying to mirror the 1st monitor to the 2nd monitor and it will use the laptop screen resolution size to the external monitor.

There will be another option which makes them separate monitors (Extended) and it will use the max resolution ob both.
