hi all, i used to overclock my pentium 4 sitting on a gigabyte board by using easy tune.

now i have a dell e521 pc (have no idea what the motherboard model is), with an athlon 64 x2 4200+

what utility shall i use to overclock (i assume easy tune 5 is not the way to go)? secondly, also the forums say it is different from overclocking pentiums where you just dial up the fsb multiplier or something (greek) - so anyone speaking english?

I use Clockgen on my XP system, an excellent application. According to the homepage it supports Vista:

And yes, overclocking Athlon 64s isn't just a case of dialling up the FSB. There's HTT, memory dividers etc to keep track of, try looking for a tutorial on overclocking the Athlon 64s to pick up the details. You do need to take care with it...
