My Dad is having issues with his pc reading a DVD+RW with photos on it.

The problem started with an older used disc, so he bought a brand new one but still has the same problem.

His uses Nero 7 to burn photos on to the DVD+RW. He ticks the option for multisession disc.

At this point his pc reads the disc fine. He then adds more photos to it, same process and options selected as the first time.

Now when he puts the disc in the dvd-drive, Windows reads the disc as blank. However when he uses Nero it says the photos are there and can still add more to the list. But when he opens the dvd drive folder it says the disc is blank. I have put the disc in my pc and it works perfectly. When he takes the disc to Harvey Norman to get the photos printed it works perfectly.

But when he puts the disc in his computer, opens My Computer > DVD-RAM Drive, it is blank and says there is nothing there. does anyone know why this is?

And the disc is finalised or un-finalised?

I have created it as a mulit-session disc so that means un-finalised doesn't it?

It appears we have stumbled upon a solution...
when making a data dvd using nero express 7, the files to be added have been chosen and have moved onto the last page before burning the disc, we clicked on the Options button next to 'Current recorder'
the drop-down box for 'book type settings' was on 'physical disc type' - no idea what that means, but we changed it to 'DVD-ROM' and now all seems to be fine.

Don't quite understand why previously the disc worked fine in my pc and not dads, but now that this setting has been changed it works everywhere. so far.
