http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/01/09/one_sync_to_rule_them_all_how_microsoft_plans_to_fix_onedrive/

"Microsoft has revealed details of how it plans to fix the
problematic file synchronisation between PCs and its online storage services."

About time.... and what about compensation for the users who have been unable to make use of OneDrive due to this ? I spent hours trying to get the thing working on a friend/clients PC, they do a lot of travelling so having their files available "everywhere" was a huge thing for them, yet we have been unable to get the thing to sync his files properly once on 3 different computers.

Its coming up to renewal time for for his MS products and I wouldnt blame him if he says "get stuffed MS".

Quite a few times I had OneDrive out-of-the-blue run a "setup files" on my laptop, which always create a few duplicate files. You have three devices and soon you start having duplicates everywhere. Lucky I sync to a central repository on my home server so I can see those duplicates when they appear in the list so I just delete them in the process.

Then OneDrive on tablet started having problems - it would start with Windows and fault after a few seconds checking for changes. The only way to recover from this was to reset the tablet.

Shame such good idea causes so much trouble. Easier to just use GoodSync than this Cloud thing people talk about.

Getting very sick of OneDrive for Business issues too, seriously considering DropBox & other options instead.
