When I was getting a new PC I used www.pricespy.co.nz

It looks through all these PC stores and ranks them in lowest prices. I'm not sure of how often it's updated so I often check the shop's sites as well to see what the prices really are at the time.

Change your gfx card to the hd2600xt and get one of the models with ddr3 or ddr4 rams.

I got one and it's really nice.

is there any reason why you want a hd2600? I've done some research and the 8600gt performs better in most cases and is also cheaper.

I used to be a big AMD fan boy... but if i was to buy a new PC tmw..

I would be getting an Intel Core2Duo..

As for graphic cards

I would be buying nvidia 8800GT

It just seems Nvidia are ahead of ATI right now..

Just my views

Amooman is correct.. Intel coreduo and nvidia graphics is the way to go! Check pricespy and see what you could get for your budget...
also take a look at www.tomshardware.com for there cpu and graphics charts to see what sort of performance you will get out of the cpu and graphics card you plan on purchasing
