I've put one of these in my win 7 machine.

But nothing shows in Device Manager. Should it ?

I also need a driver but can't find one. It's Chipset:Marvell 9170.

Any help appreciated.   Thanks.

The listing say it comes with a driver CD.

Yes, I would expect it to show in device manager, but it may be showing under 'unknown device' heading if driver install failed.

Maybe driver install was good and it will not show much until you attach a drive.

Thanks gzt,  It's sorted. Not sure how but it just started working.  No unique entry in Device Manager but adds one entry to existing IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers as a second
Standard ACH1.0 Serial ATA controller...  which I guess is fair enough !   Whatever driver Win7 must have it or found it.
