Hi there,

I am looking at a new computer.
  • Quad Core – Intel 2.4ghz
  • 4gb memory
  • 1gb video ram SLI
  • 2x 500gb in RAID 10
Video Card
I am a heavy gamer so I would like around 1gb of video ram.
What Video card would you reccomend?
-

Motherboard
I would like one with at least 6 usb ports at the back, HDMI, 7.1 sound card, GB Lan, Wlan and possibly bluetooth.

What motherboard would you reccomend?

hi :) just a quick little post..

if your going to get 4gb ram.. you will need to get XP 64bit..  or vista 64bit..
Cos 32bit XP&Vista can only see 3GB

SLI is Crossfire are a waste of time/power/money.. unless you get the very best card at the time..
so that will be $1200 X 2 for graphics cards...

You should just get 1 highend cards.. and be done

You said RAID 10 ?? dont you mean RAID 0 ??

Maybe you should look at getting a 10,000 rpm drive for you OS and games..
and a large 7,200 rpm for storage..

Would be faster

From what i can tell... nVidia is still on top for gaming..
maybe look at GeForce 8800 GT,GTS,GTX or Ultra

Try and spend alot of $$ on motherboard - m/b..  its the main bit of hardware in yr system so it needs to be high end..

gigabyte & Asus..  have always been good 2 me..
