These used to be my go to drives of choice, but they're out of stock at both ascent and pbtech...
Anyone know why?

Christmas/Boxing day sales haven't been restocked maybe?

my current goto for pricepoint are Toshiba PH3500U-1I72 5TB disks. Still PMR rather than SMR disks too...

Just buy them from Amazon, they cost US$10 to ship. NZ$160 for 2TB. I buy HGST drives, they're meant to be very reliable.

WD Green has been discontinued by WD. The drives have been rolled in to the WD Blue family.

This page lists the old Green models to the new Blue model

Inphinity: WD Green has been discontinued by WD. The drives have been rolled in to the WD Blue family.

This page lists the old Green models to the new Blue model
