I've had to change my User a/c and no longer see the DVD Recorder in the list of drives/folders etc on the LH side of Explorer.

I do see it's name if I type Devices, but don't seem to be able to do anything with it. Also recall seeing a sort of photo of it (and various other devicey things) but can't find that anymore.

Thanks for any help. Using Windows 10

Might need way more detail to be able to help you.  What type of device, how is it connected (Wifi, usb, ethernet).

There's probably a sharing setting turned off on Windows 10 as part of the anniversary update.  I'm sure there's something about device discovery - I thought that was discovering the windows 10 device, but maybe it also works the other way around, and limits the devices it can find.  This is all assuming your DVD recorder is network connected.
