Just wanting what you guys think of this.  There are software out there and maybe with Windows's own Bitlocker one can encrypt an entire drive or partition.  Most of my stuff are just normal photographs and some email.  I only have a small handful of stuff that really needs to be encrypted.

Out of interest does Bitlocker take a long time to encrypt an entire drive?  AFAIK Windows only encrypt entire drives or partitions.

Thanks.

BitLocker.
Amazingly adequate. And 'free' / bundled into more-expensive versions of the Windows client O/S

If you have a Microsoft Software Assurance license, your sysadmin folks can have a BitLocker Console ["Microsoft BitLocker Administration and Monitoring (MBAM)"] and the ability to unlock your volume(s) even when you've forgotten the password ["key recovery"].
Costs $$$, but worth every cent
