Looking at this since its not too badly priced.
Will go to the shop tomorrow to see in person.
Any other suggestions on ones?
not interested in the thing that goes on an existing desk, because I need to replace a desk

I recently got an electric standing desk at work and am finding it really good. My one has the control with 4 memory settings and I'd definitely recommend this feature if possible as it makes it so much easier to change between sitting and standing with 1 press. Also, if you're looking for an anti-fatigue mat to go with it, you can pick them up at Bunnings for about $31, which is much cheaper than specialist shops generally sell them for.

but i got my one at WEST TEC commercial furniture on bush road, Albany
I visited both showroom, they are pretty identical.
THis is for the shed where I will be working at workbenches and I find the shift to a chair halts productivity since sitting down means not wanting to stand up and keep doing other things, so while doing other stuff will have it up at bench height and down when I am sitting there to do usual computery things.
That westtek one did come up when I had googled but didnt consider since there isnt any pricing on the site. May swing buy but I hate places that do that out of principle and unofurniture have delivery and the option of a faster higher lifting motor.
@richms the one you linked is identical to the one I have however I've significantly modified it.
PB Tech now stocks ones I'd consider superior and have on show at Henderson branch.
You've asked a month too soon! I have a plan to build a sit/stand desk out of galv pipe and masterklamp fittings. Raise and lower mechanism will be with an old car jack. I've guestimmated the price at around $200-$300ish, plus the cost of the desk top - I'm using some stuff I've already got for this though. So roughly half the price of an electronic one, and I can make it whatever size I want.
But no idea whether my idea will actually work so can't exactly recommend it as an option.
I bought the same model as you have in your first post, @richms.
It's a great product and has been faultless in the 18-24 months or so since I bought it. They even come and install it for you on-site.
I especially liked being able to choose the size and the wood colour/finish (to match other furniture), I needed it as small as possible which I think ended up around 120cm wide.
