Hi, I have a remote Mysql database that I am attempting to connect to using Libreoffice Base using JDBC connectivity on a windows 10 computer.

I have loaded mysql-connector-java-5.1.42-bin.jar into the LibreOffice classes directory. When clicking "Test Class", I get the message "The JDBC Driver could not be loaded".

This version of Libreoffice, unlike ver.4 does not have an option for defining the class path under tools>options>LibreOffice>Base>Connections .

Does anyone have any suggestions please?

The Libreoffice documentation is lacking in this area.

There was another setting: options>Libreoffice>Advanced that allows installation of the j connector.
