Anyone have one of these ? http://www.cdlnz.com/accessories/acc775/CF-100

How loud is it ?

How is it setup exactly, is it a large fan sitting on the bottom ? (Cant find any other images except the stock ones)

Thinking could be cheap cooling solution for my video card where a fan has stopped working......... damn expensive to buy a new fan/hs unit for the video card, and im hoping to upgrade later this year anyway.

TIA

Why wouldn't you just buy a replacement fan for the card from AliX?

When I was running graphics cards for crypto, I was getting through graphics card fans at a steady rate and I could always get replacement fans for about three dollars and free postage.

Had one. Noisy piece of crap, not able to be speed controlled even with connecting to a 3 pin. The one I had seemed to have the fan on an angle, could see it wobbling slightly on the axis you would expect it to rotate on. Plastic was hard cheap feeling stuff.

Was only a few bucks so just binned it rather than try to take it back. Also didnt really move much air at all for the size of it.

I wouldn't bother with the Manhattan CF100 case fan.  It is designed to draw warm air out of the case & expel it at the rear.

Typically these do very little and may only drop internal case temp by a couple of degrees maximum.

Surely you would want to be blowing cooler air directly onto your video card heatsink ?

I had two ( different brand, same thing)
It was quiet enough. It is NOT a usable replacement for a vid card fan

I threw them both away . They didnt help cooling much, could possibly even make thing worse on some vid cards by blocking airflow around the vid card& vid fan
