Thx in advance

Wow. I can't believe that one of these could still be functioning!
From personal experience of trying to fix one about 12 odd years ago, you will get better ADSL experience using a more modern router.
Back then we were on a 2 megabit plan with ihug and couldn't get more than around a 900kb connection, had a proper master filter and all. This predates all the new cabinets Telecom (as known back then) were rolling out. I just happened to of had a Dlink ADSL router which I got off trademe for $10(ish) which was the type Telecom were giving out for Xtra so I tried it and instantly got a 2 megabit connection.
So in short my point is the M1122 routers don't really get on well with the dslams that are currently in use.

Loved mine but for life of me cannot remember anything about resetting them etc :D

Ah I remember these :D
I'm fairly sure you can do it using a CLI cable and the "restore" command or something.
CLI cable same pinout as Cisco if memory serves.
Is there a pinhole? I honestly can't remember. If so try pushing the button inside for 10 seconds or so. You might have to be holding it in while you power it on.
Is there a reason you're still using the M1122? Unless you're in the remaining 1% of so of connections in NZ that can only get ADSL1 on BUBA all you're doing by using that hardware is heavily restricting your performance.
I know its pretty old ( I just dont like throwing things away )
I was going to give it to my elderly neighbour who is still on adsl
If you like your neighbour spend $10 on trademe and get them anyone of a dozen more modern and better speed modems. The M1122 was fantastic, but it's well past it's use by date.
99% sure there is a need to use the CLI interface to reset these boxes.
Ah such good memories, getting one for free year ago and used it for a number of years before the PSU died on it
