I have put a monitor/kbd/mouse in my garage work area, and long cables up to the loft over the garage where my kvm switch is so I am able to use the computer when I am in the garage doing messy stuff (sanding, painting etc) - so no PC to worry about dust.

However, I really need to get a way of having both keyboards and mice connected to the KVM switch. at the moment I am unplugging one paid and plugging in the other pair when I go upstairs, but if I go to the garage and forget then I have to go upstairs, swap it over, and come back again. Very annoying.

USB isnt an option since I only have ps2 on my kvm. - the monitor is taken care of, initially with a passive cable but that sucked so I got a powered proper vga splitter.
