My Internet security for windows 10 is due to finish in 2 weeks. I have for many years used Bitdefender with out any major issues.
Just want to hear what others use and who they find the better for internet security protection.

I use Norton Security on Windows client machines and ESET File Security on Windows servers.

Windows or Mac ?
I have used Sophos on both and had no issues
I only run Eset Smart Security on all my computers and family's ones
windows defender/firewall and common sense.
ive used avast, avg, bitdefender in the passed, but i find windows defender and the built in firewall to be great.
for email, i use gmail, so that does all that stuff.

I'm very wary of Sophos at the moment. It works great on my Mac but I recently gave my PC a huge performance upgrade by uninstalling Sophos.
I haven't paid for a internet security for a few years now.
I've got Sophos home (free) and Adaware running as the anti-virus software, ublock is also running, and run Ccleaner over the machine every few days and have had no issues ever...touch wood.
None.
I do use AV though. :-)
All dancing all singing Internet Security Suies sometimes causes more trouble than its worth. Stick with a more basic AV product .
Nod32 is good .
The popular Freeware AV's are often little better than the malware they protect against:constant pops, using scare tactics to trick
users into paying for the upgrade version, using scare tactics to trick users into then paying for unneeded addons and extras. Loading addons into Browsers despite
NOT ticking the option for that.
AV/internet security cannot detect or protect against zero day virus/malweare outbreaks. New malware will get through regardless.
Since upgrading to Windows 10 I don't bother with anything else other than Windows Defender / Firewall and common sense and no issues sofar and I go to alot of seedy places on the net
I also run Opera with it's built in ad blocker turned on along with uBlock Origin what one fails to get the other will 99% of the time get
I have never paid for Internet security, I just use the built in Windows Defender and common sense. Haven't had a virus in many years, and then only ever had one in total.
I use my machine every day for work and play.
I hate the way anti virus slows down my computer, I see it immediately when on other peoples machines.
Windows 10 computers:
+ free AV including Avast, Avira and Windows Defender
+ Malwarebytes Free for off-line scanning
+ web browsing add-on from MyWOT and AV
Ramjet007:
This is what im running, Good combo on Windows 10 64Bit pro.
Now i have a process pop up, i cant recall the anme off the top of my head but its relating to defender(Anti malware service exe?). it eats up to 20% of the CPU and will come on when im in game and lag me out. Apart from that no complaints.
Maybe its scanning? IDK, Didnt do the research yet but just noted that late last night. First gaming session on my PC! First time in 2 years ahah!
Also haven't used big name AV protection for years, also never had an infection, though I don't go all the places some people do. I use Defender backed up by occasional Malwarebytes scans, Windows firewall, and of course common sense.
Plesse igmore amd axxept applogies in adbance fir anu typos
@Coil i'm running the paid version of Malwarebytes and haven't had a problem on my games machine (i7) or my surfing PC.
I do have a crappy laptop which at times can get very slow with windows defender cpu use.
