Hi There,

I'm having trouble with my PC with the onboard LAN (nForce Networking Controller).

When plugged direct into my Linksys router its fine.
When I plug it into my DSE Miniswitch, which in turn is plugged into the linksys router I have no connectivity
Two other PC's plugged into the mini switch are fine.

I've tried using the same network cable for both connections and different cables and the problem persists.

Possibly some strange compatibility problem between the DSE miniswitch and the nForce network controller?

Cheers,
Grant

Try forcing a speed and duplex in the network settings, for some reason it may not be able to succesfully negotiate this.

Won't work at all with autonegotiate

Tried to force 100 / full - 'Network Cable Is Unplugged'
Tried to force 100 / half - 'Network Cable is unplugged'
tried to force 10 / hall - and it worked
tried to force 10 / full - and it worked

very odd.  I picked up a NIC from DSE today so will try that, if it works I'll just stick with that.  Something bloody weird going on with the on board network.
