I've been asked to fix a laptop that wont shut down properly.
All the appropriate power settings in Win10 seem OK.
The owner thinks this has been an issue since upgrading from Win7 to Win10.
Using shut down through the menu just seems to put it to sleep, so then you have to hold the power button down to actually get it to turn off.
Which is fine when they remember to do it. When they dont the battery goes flat.
I cant access the BIOS as they dont know the password.
Its an HP Probook so you cant get around that as far as I know.
Does anyone have any ideas?
