Hi all,

I'm currently using SeaMonkey as my primary browser on Windows 7 but I'm investigating a move to Firefox. One of the problems I'm having is with Skype links.

With SeaMonkey set as the default browser, clicking a Skype meeting link (such as in Outlook) will cause the Skype desktop app to open. However, with Firefox set as the default it tries to run a "Skype inside Firefox" (which doesn't actually work due to cookie settings). Does anyone know how to disable this and push it back to the desktop client? There's an option in Skype to make it the default but this doesn't seem to override Firefox.

Any ideas?

Try Tools, Options, General, Applications.

Thanks, but how do I figure out the "Content Type" of a Skype meeting? With that said, most of them are set to "Always ask" and the ones that aren't don't seem to be related to Skype.

I only have two plugins ("OpenH264 Video Codec" and "Widevine Content Decryption Module") and no extensions, so there doesn't seem to be anything Skype-related there. There was something to the effect of "Skype for Business Web App Plugin" in Control Panel/Programs and Features (unfortunately I didn't note down the exact name) but removing it doesn't seem to have had any effect.

I've tried IE and Chrome and both open the Skype desktop app, so it does seem to be something Firefox-specific.
