I have an HP 1510 printer/scanner. It works perfectly on my other PC under Windows 7 64 bit connected via USB. I have resurrected a Dell Optiplex 755 and installed Windows 7 32bit for a specific program that does not work in a 64 bit environment. I installed the printer variously using the install CD; using the install program from the HP site; and the basic installer again from the HP web site. I uninstalled the drivers each time. The scanner function works OK, but it will not print. I have tried different USB ports. The target PC has 4Gb RAM, plenty of HDD space, an Intel core2 Duo CPU and I have updated the BIOS to A22 from the Dell website. The printer shows in "Devices and Printers" and I can set up print options but to no avail. I have tried various queries on Dr Google.
I have a Brother laser printer connected to this PC and it works as advertised.
I have asked this question in the Trademe community but no success. I am hoping a guru here can help.....Please
