I've got a 100Gb Google Drive account which is almost full. On their site it says the next tier up is 1TB, but is there any way to just pay for another monthly 100GB, as I don't need to make the jump to 1TB for now?

Without having a separate account for the second 100GB plan, I don't think so.

The Google 1TB plan is pricey.

(although it's not what you're asking for, I'll add it anyway) I found it cheaper/easier to just get a Microsoft Office 365 Home 5 User subscription, which includes 1TB OneDrive storage per user. I buy the annual subscription when Noel Leeming, PBTech etc. have sales on, and have managed to get 12 months for less than $100. Still currently have enough stacked to cover the next three or four years. If you paid the current PBTech price of $138.99 for a 12 month sub, $11.58 a month isn't bad. Heck, even full RRP is still only $13.75 a month and is still cheaper than the $15 a month with Google. Of course, Microsoft Office is included for each user as well, so pretty good bang for buck.

Looks like Google are making some changes. Google One is what they'll be calling the new paid Drive plans and it'll be happening some time this year. Personal plans only, not the business plans.

According to https://one.google.com/getupdates:

Google One plans will start at 100 GB for $1.99, 200 GB for $2.99, and 2 TB for $9.99 per month, while pricing for plans larger than 2 TB will remain the same. (Existing 1 TB Drive plans will be upgraded to 2 TB at no extra cost.)

That's a huge leap from 2TB to 10TB!
