Does anyone know if NEC monitors are available in NZ?

Before taking the plunge and adding an Apple 30" display I am looking for any sensible alternatives. As a pro photographer the ability to accurately render colour - preferably as much of the Adobe RGB gamut as possible - is the key thing.

Some of the NEC monitors will render almost 94% of the ARGB gamut but I cannot seem to find them in NZ at all. Are they available? If not, any other suggestions in that sort of size?

They are, you just have to ask the right people :)

The HP dreamcolor monitors look far better than the apples, but come at a hugee price.

Most of the others render quite well, callibration is the key.

Nikon or Canon?

Such as whom?! This is the one I am trying to find: LCD3090WQXi

I have not had any exposure to the HP ones - it is a brand I usually avoid like the plague! Are they good?

Nikon every time for work. Leica for pleasure. I am not sure that there is a whole lot in it - especially at the upper end - but I have always found Nikon more user friendly and I like the way they render colour in the DSLR's - it is warmer than Canon, I think and seems more natural. The D3 is an amazing tool.
