Thinking of buying a new 550W PSU. Any recommendation below $100.

Under $100 I'd look at a Cooler Master MWE 550w - MPX-5501-ACAAB-AU

That is one of the models I am looking at. But then I saw this from Mighty Ape one is 550W Gold the other 650W Bronze. Both at $92

Those are good prices - the Gold 550w Silverstone would be preferable to the CM I mentioned.

Between the 650 Bronze vs 550 Gold and Modular. For the same price, which do you think is a better buy?

550 hands down. Modular + extra warranty + gold vs bronze.

Ended up buying a used SuperNOVA 650 G1 for 50 on TM which I think is not bad given it is gold rated/modular and 10 yrs manufacturers warranty.
