hi guys i just purchased the https://www.mightyape.co.nz/product/24-samsung-4ms-freesync-fhd-gaming-monitor/25250611,

 

but i just realized it doesn't have built in speakers!. 

 

 

 

would i just have to buy something like this https://www.mightyape.co.nz/product/logitech-z506-speaker-system/10338510

 

 or this https://www.mightyape.co.nz/product/logitech-z150-multimedia-speakers-black/21722808

I'd avoid 5.1 setups unless you like lots of cords running everywhere. 

 

Those z150's are functional but will be no bass and quite tinny.

 

Personally, I'd go for something in between....

Why not use a headset if your gaming, the sound then is much clearer and if your playing FPS games more likely to hear someone sneaking up on you.

If you are looking to have a good, small speaker system I'd recommend these:

They're not the most subtle speakers around, but they sound really good and have a TON of bass.

The 506's are ok for the money, but mine would buzz ever so slightly regardless if they were in use or not and didnt matter what device was connected. You didnt notice the buzz at all with a bit of volume.

 

Dont use them anymore since I fixed my almost 20 year old Cambridge 2.1 set :) Eldest kid likes the 506's tho to annoy us with ;)
