Looking to get a new Monitor and have done a ton of reading but getting overwhelmed with the myriad of technical specs.

Will be using it for work and hopefully some gaming but this is a secondary need

My requirements are as follows:

1. Must be able to work with my wife's current work laptop - Lenovo Thinkpad X240 https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thinkpad/x-series/x240/

2. Must be able to work with my 2016 MacBook Pro (via USB C)

3. Would like to be able to hook up our xBox One to it to play games (Fortnite likely the main interest at the moment here)

4. Prefer an Ultrawide around 34in.

5. Would like minimum of 4K display

I think the LG 34UC99 could be the best fit but its quite pricey

Any comments or other recommendations would be appreciated.

TIA

Pretty sure xbox one doesn't do ultra wide. If you're ok with that then go for it.

Most USB-C monitors will be more expensive - if you're happy with a USB-C dongle for your macbook, there are a wider variety of ultrawides available
